The Baton Rouge Police Dept is investigating a hit and run crash that occurred last night around 10:00pm. According to a press release, Sothy Lieu, 40, 1728 Fox Croft Blvd. died after being struck while attempting to cross Old Hammond Hwy. The accident occurred just west of Blvd De Province. Witnesses say that the suspect vehicle was travelling west bound on Old Hammond Hwy and drove around another vehicle which was in the left lane. That vehicle was stopped attempting to let Lieu cross the road. The vehicle that struck Lieu fled the scene without stopping. It is described as a white or gray sedan with a white female driver. Lieu was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. This crash is still under investigation.
